Health MLMs Suck

March 18, 2009

Health MLMs stink. Slugging shakes, peddling multivitamins, drinking the hype from the energy drinks… they’re just horrible. Health MLMs are going on about how their new vitamin 2000x is raising the bar by bringing the dead back to life. Seriously, some of these tesitmonials are crazy fictitious, or even if they aren’t, most cannot afford the overpriced cleansing systems in the health MLMS.

Come on Greg, Health MLMs are Cool

I never would want to sound like the bad guy here ripping on other peoples opportunities, so instead I am going to tell you what a good health MLM would be like. Cause despite the majority of health MLMs dropping the ball, there are some that really do put up the good fight.

A good health MLM is going to have three or so products covering the biggest trends in the health & wellness industry. Which will be in the overall healthy nutrition aspect, weight-loss and of course the virus that is the energy drink industry.

You could have some like MLM health care, but I prefer to stay on the preventive. Some would argue insurance is preventive, but when I say preventive I mean I want to give people a good healthy life not give them a discount so later on they can thank me from their sick beds, “Sure glad I saved those 40 dollars a month!”.

Not my cup of tea.

That is the basics of the health MLM that would have a five-star rating. As with any MLM though you have to have the right MLM resources otherwise you might as well go saw off one of your fingers to make up for productive time loss.

After all, it would be ridiculous to think that a little vitamin could take a credit card for you. Besides, in good health MLMs, that little vitamin is doing way too much good already to add yet another burden on its back.

There you have it, Gregory Elfrink’s take on health MLMs. : )

Why AmWay and Melaleuca are Pointless

March 17, 2009

Steve joins AmWay, he is on the rah-rah list and he is going to make it big. his income goals with AmWay is going to be at least 30 or 40,000 dollars a month. How could he not achieve that goal? I mean, it is one of the biggest and most well known MLM brands out there! It is so stable, who could deny the amazing opportunity that is AmWay? Picking up his cell phone he calls all of his friends and family that he hasn’t talked to for the last fifteen years. Tells them he just started a new business and would like to have them to join! This is when Steve is utterly surprised when they reply that they have no interest in starting a business, and what kind of business is thos anyhow? Confused, Steve is rejected, how could anyone refuse to hop on board with something so large as AmWay?

Samantha joins Melaleuca with the knowledge she has found her new career. The guru in front of the room made it seem so easy! It is going to be a cake-walk, she is going to get a brand new lincoln town-car in two months from the type of money she is earning at Melaleuca. Calling up everyone from her high school and college days, she becomes utterly frustrated as they call Melaleuca a pyramid scheme, a fraud, a scam. It is so not true, she thinks, Melaleuca is a reputable company based all around the world!

Both Steve and Samantha trudge on for another five months in AmWay and Meleleuca respecitvely… then they give up. It’s done. They can’t do it. Their friends and family were right. Thanksgiving will be awkward….

Was It Their Opportunity?

Never. Some opportunities are surely better than others, but both of these companies are very legitimate. They have good products otherwise they would never had grown to the global giants they are. So what happened to Steve and Samantha? They were caught dead with no MLM skills. They had no true MLM resources at their disposal that could grow their business beyond the kindergarten marketing they were taught at the rally. What kind of place is a rally anyhow to truly learn solid, concrete MLM prospecting methods?

The question is then rather than asking how could they fail, is how could they had been successful? Steve was plumber for fourteen years. He knows hist trade well. Samantha was an accountant for a bank for six years. Where did they learn the marketing skills needed to raise a new business empire? Or anything at all about entrepreneurship? Especially in the unique MLM industry?

Both of these people could had succeeded and been very well off if they had taken the time during those six-months to test new strategies and create a real game plan. To schedule networking events in the offline arena and learn how to setup their first online marketing campaign for their MLM opportunity. Rather they attempted the old school method of strong-arming friends and family into the business when those people, most likely, have never had an interest in their life of starting a business.

The Solution?

Learn skills. Learn to prospect. Get Magnetic Sponsoring, read, learn, love it and apply the WHOLE course. It will probably serve you better than fifteen of the rah-rah rallies so many MLM companies dish out.

If you must truly invest in a business skill, invest in prospecting skills. In MLM rather than sales it’s about people. Take the time to learn how to get yourself in front of those people, the right people, the open-minded people, and then the hardest part… do it and reap the rewards of success.

Mike Dillard’s Pay Per Click Domination…Works?

March 16, 2009

Mike Dillard’s Pay Per Click Domation, or PPC Domination co-authored with Jim Yaghi was released not even five months ago. So how well is Mike Dillard’s new Pay Per Click Domination course holding up? Is the merit of its purchase really worth it, or is it just another hollow promise?

Having taken the course, bought it, watched the videos and used it, I have come to some conclusions about Pay Per Click Domination. As with all Mike Dillard’s products such Magnetic Sponsoring and Building on a Budget, they are specifically tied into the MLM or network marketing industries. This is a big help as Pay Per Click Dominaton really is the only course of its kind out there specifically designed for MLMs.

In the videos, Mike Dillard decides rather than making a cameo that he would give full reign to Jim Yaghi, another network marketer who is very skilled in using Pay-Per-Click for his opportunity. Jim Yaghi is an incredibule guide in Pay Per Click Domination and takes you all the way to bulding 3 active campaigns in his course, which are jam-packed full of information.

Jim Yaghi does another thing with Pay Per Click Domination, he actually shows you how to build the marketing of your capture pages for both the opportunity and the products. A unique position, as any network marketer with intelligence knows, the stability of the residual is in the customer not the distributor. Distributors come and go like the wind, customers will stay for their love of the product.

Pay Per Click Domination is a 5-6 hour course, with some extra goodies thrown in. It is jam-packed full of information as per the tradition of Mike Dillard’s family of products. It is advised taking the course two-three times to really soak up all the information there is to be had there; an easy task considering all the videos are just in your backoffice.

Would I recommend Pay Per Click Domination for anyone out there in taking their MLM online? Absolutely! Pay Per Click Domination is THE solution and alternative to huge article marketing campaigns or massive social media marketing. The Pay Per Click Domination gives you credibility instantly, and the chance to generate hundreds of leads a day.

Get an Appointment, Get Out, Get Paid

January 8, 2009

Taking a break from my 5-part series on Attraction Marketing, I would like to show an example of Attraction.

After meeting with a fellow network marketer from a different company (I often do this to see what knowledge there is to be had elsewhere. Never trust only one teacher or coach!) I stumbled upon an interesting concept: Showing and building attraction in your prospects eyes because you are in a rush.

What better way to show how important your time is than by telling your prospect exactly what you want and telling him you cannot still around all day waiting for that response?

Not much.

This is how it worked for me today. As a distributor for high-quality health products I went into a Chiropractor office wanting to retail my products to them. Instead of going in there asking for the sale right away, I went into the mindset of just wanting an appointment to discuss increasing their bottom line. I never said how what or why, rather I asked for when.

I told the receptionist I needed five seconds to speak to Bruce. (The dr’s first name.) What did the receptionist do? The gatekeeper open the gates for me! One because I was in a rush and it was evident in my voice that it was important and two I came off as if I already knew Bruce. I walked deep into the depths of the practice, right into the jungle’s heart.

Now normally like most of us out there I would be nervous, what to do now? That question would be in my mind forever, repeating itself in eternal loop as my prospect becomes angry and frustrated. This time though… he became bewildered.

Intrigued even. I told him, not asked, when could we set up an appointment and invited him to a BNI meeting. There was no room for rejection, I told him where it was when it is and how it would increase his business. Than I said goodbye and left just as quickly.

In this span of 5 to 10 minutes I seiged the castle, got past the gatekeeper to the Big Fish AND got an apppointment for a presentation later on. It is in this presentation where the magic would happen. By now my prospect is bewildered that a man came into his office and gave him an appointment from nowhere, and then was so busy could not fully explain the proposal because he had better things he had to get to.

This makes the prospect wondering what could this be? What could this thing would improve my bottom line be? And who is this very busy, young man out and about in town making appointments that I was just a place to swing by?

When your prospect feels as if you really do not need them, rather they need you, rather they need to fight for your time rather than you fight for theirs, is when you really begin to understand the idea of attraction.

Take this story and analyze it, understand it and implement it.

Now gentlemen and ladies, will I be seeing you at the top? Or from the top?

You decide when you CLICK here to recieve your 7-day boot-camp to Attraction Marketing success and effortless sponsoring!

More to come later!

Why We Fail… MLM Tragedy to MLMer Success

January 7, 2009

Abyssal Failure

The failing rate of the average network marketer is a dismal one. Anywhere between 97-99% will fail as they build their downline. They will spend themselves out of their business before they can even make a dime to try to pay for their monthly personal volume.

Wait a second…

If so many people fail in a MLM, how can it be said it is such a great business model? The answer is simple, as is most things in life. An MLM is a business first and foremost. It is not a get-rich-quick scheme (I would argue it is a get-rich-a-lot-faster-than-your-corporate-job though.), and definitely has no relations with illegal pyramid schemes.

So what is the reason why most people fail? Because they decided rather than to develop themselves, to educate themselves so they can add value to their consumers,  they decided just to start their business doing what every network marketer is told to do, call their friends and family, and set themselves up for failure.

Most people will be unskilled when it comes to being an entrepreneur. That is fine. People can always learn. Educate themselves. Try, fail, improve and succeed. It is the natural cycle of anything we try for the first, second, or however many times it takes us till we are educated on our own learning curve.

This is no difference from any other business. Most businesses fail in their first year. The small amount of businesses that do succeed will fail in the second or third year. On average a business will make a profit on their fifth year. They will close their doors and file for bankruptcy. With slumped backs, many will never return to the field of owning their own business. Their hearts will be saddened by the trial, by what could had been had they had more resources to be successful.

Network Marketing, a Promoter’s Dream.

MLM is a curious case in the business world. Most MLM companies fail not because they went bankrupt, but because they grew too fast. The simple fact is, most MLMs have not enabled themselves to prepare for that sort of infrastructure. With the viral power of MLM, is it so surprising that many individuals are making hundreds of thousands of dollars instead of in years but in months? Or even a month?

It really is a realistic goal in a MLM. Why? Because a good MLM will provide you with all the tools you need. You never have to sell anyone. Rather you have tools to offer the opportunity to everyone. Your job is to talk as little as possible during the sponsoring and customer gathering phase. Let your prospects sell themselves, let the tools speak for you.

You are at the most basic description a promoter equipped with a suite of marketing tools.

If the tools do all the work, why do I fail still?

It is because you have yet to add value to yourself. Network marketing operates on a system of duplication. Often this duplication is a very basic, basic form that even a 3rd grader could use the system. The system can and does work, for some people they become superstars off of it. What did they do that was different from you?

Well, in terms of operating your company’s system? Absolutely nothing.

Then how did they succeed, got a group of followers, praise, the great residual paychecks while you failed, alienated your friends and families and feel horrible about it? It is based in timing. The superstar that used the same exact system as you, had one thing different from you. He was already conceived as an expert.

This conception of being an expert is what made people interested in what he had to offer. In what it could be and what it could do for them. In the end you’re not marketing your compensation plan, or your company promotions, nor even your company’s lifestyle and experience.

You’re marketing yourself.

Your prospects are going to buy you. No one else. I’ve seen two people in the same company, work the same system on the same prospect. The first one failed. The second one later contacted them and succeeded. Why? It was the same company. Same product, compensation, same marketing system.

It was because the second one was perceived as an expert. A credible source that has built rapport. It is then that we find we must develop ourselves till we are experts, to where we can add value to our prospects and truly make them feel we can aid them in their dreams and goals. Only then will we be able to add the value that will attract people to us rather than having us hunt them down and getting dismal results for the effort.

How do you add value?

Buy courses on marketing, on business, personal development, mindset. Anything that will provide you with knowledge on a subject that is related to network marketing. Know what is out there. Develop the one thing that cannot be duplicated: You.

Once you do this and as you build your downline and host of prospects to call, you will find your journey into MLM a lot less harsh, a lot less bitter, and a whole lot more fun and profitable.

I wsh you good luck my network marketer, I give you cheers to your success and know that with implementation of everything you learn you will do more than succeed.

Indeed.

You shall thrive.

Yours Truly,
Gregory Elfrink
